Two men arrested after police say they held up man with knife, gun

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – Two men were arrested after Louisville Metro Police Department officers were called to investigate a trouble run, in the 9030 block of Blossom Lane in Louisville, on Friday, Oct. 18, at 8:10 p.m. were there was a report of two white males assaulting a black male at gun-point.

When police arrived the black male, Keevan Brown, said the two white males robbed him at gunpoint and had taken his cell phone and cash. Brown was leaving a job interview when he said Charles Welch, 37, had pulled up in a car and asked if he had any Percocet. Brown said he told them he did not. Brown said he had $15 for them to drive him anywhere near his home, because he did not want to ride the TARC.

When Welch turned onto Blossom Lane, Brown said Welch was holding a knife to his abdomen. Police recovered the knife under the driver seat of the vehicle. Another passenger in the car, Rodney Edford, had pointed a gun at Keeven according to police.

Edford and Welch were charged with robbery.
