NEW LIBERTY, Ky. (NEWS RELEASE) – Two people were arrested Saturday after Troopers discovered a meth lab at an Owen County home.  Troopers from KSP Post 5 went to the home in the 200  block of Highway 1669 to attempt to serve a warrant at 5:48 p.m. on Saturday. 

When they arrived at the home, the Troopers smelled a strong chemical odor coming from the residence.  A search warrant was obtained and a search of the home led to the discovery of a meth lab. 

Corrine Sturgeon, 33-years-old from Wheatley, Ky., and Raymond Eastman, 44-years-old from Wheatley, Ky., were arrested and charged with manufacturing methamphetamine, trafficking in a controlled substance, possession of a meth precursor, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.  Both were transported and lodged at the Carroll County Detention Center.

Trooper David Staubach is leading the ongoing investigation.  Trooper Staubach was assisted by the Owen County Sheriff’s Department.
