(WHAS11) -- An early morning traffic stop in Louisville has lead to the arrest of two men, one of whom is believed to have fired a gun at a Louisville nightclub just moments before.
According to arrest documents, police pulled over a car driven by Dandre Payne early Thursday morning. The officer notes that Payne had slurred speech and bloodshot eyes. A brief search of the suspect by the officer revealed marijuana packaged for distribution, according to the report.
Once the officer searched the car, he found a gun in the glove-box and ammunition in the center console. Another man in the car, Isiah Coleman, told police he had fired the weapon near a large group of pedestrians outside of Phoenix Hill Night Club moments before being pulled over.
Isiah Coleman is facing Wanton Endangerment and Tampering with Physical Evidence charges. Police say he admitted to taking the magazine out of the gun when the car was being pulled over.
Dandre Payne is now charged with Operating a Motor Vehicle while Under the Influence of Alcohol or Drugs, Trafficking Marijuana and Possession of a Handgun by a Convicted Felon.
