NEW ALBANY, Ind. (WHAS11) -- A judge in Southern Indiana says the state has decided not to charge a pregnant woman who was on the run but later turned herself in with escape.
Bridgette Sims is the woman who police say escaped from a Southern Indiana hospital after being arrested for theft.
Sims is still facing theft and drug charges.
And the man who police say helped Sims escape had his first court appearance on Monday.
Chris Gentry will appear in court for a hearing later in October for probation revocation and a change of plea.
His bond is set at $20,000.
