LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- A suspect has been taken into custody after a standoff situation at an apartment on Mt. Holly Road off Lower Brownsboro Road.
Jefferson County Sheriff's office responded. Authorities say the suspect James Dennis Mayes, 32, had been drinking and popping pills all morning.
The sheriff's department said they were trying to serve a warrant on a suspect wanted on kidnapping and weapons charges when the man barricaded himself in an apartment.
No injuries were reported.
