LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Louisville Metro Police say a man arrested in Kentucky is responsible for several robberies across Kentuckiana.
Fabian Valentine, 35, was arrested Thursday by the Munfordville Police Department after he was seen driving erratically in a stolen car on I-65.
Valentine is suspected of robbing the U.S. Bank on Preston Highway twice, a Speedway on Bardstown Road, a Kentucky Fried Chicken on Broadway, the Rally's on Hill Street, the Thornton's on S. 7th Street and two businesses in Jeffersonville, Ind.
Police say his crime spree started back in October. Valentine robbed the Waffle House on Cane Run Road on October 29. Manager Grant Corbett remembers the day well. Corbett said Valentine came into the restaurant in the afternoon calmly without a mask.
"He was standing here with one of my employees with a gun to her side asking for me at the register and kept poking me with a gun...made off with hundred $169," said Corbett.
Peggy Hall was also working at Waffle House that day and said since then she has been fearful.
"It's just scary. I've never had anybody do that before. I know what happens all the time. I've seen it on the news, but it never happened to me" Hall said.
Police arrested Valentine on October 31, but was later released on December 1.
Valentine is facing charged with eight robberies, and more charges are expected out of Jeffersonville. Police say he has confessed to the crimes.
Corbett and Hall said they are relieved Valentine is behind bars.
