French Lick, Ind. (NEWS RELEASE) -- A Branchville, Ind. man was arrested on numerous charges after crashing his vehicle and fighting with a police officer.

On Jan. 11 at 8:15 p.m., Trooper Michael Allen and French Lick Police responded to the French Lick Casino to investigate a report of a vehicle hit and run crash. Investigation showed that Robert L. Faith, 29, Branchville, had collided with another vehicle in the parking garage and attempted to flee the scene. On another floor of the parking garage, officers with the Indiana Gaming Commission located Faith and his vehicle, and attempted to detain him. Faith resisted arrest, battering one of the gaming officers, causing injury.

A search of Faith’s vehicle was conducted, in which officers found marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Faith was arrested without further incident and was lodged in the Orange County Jail.

Faith is charged with battery on law enforcement, possession of marijuana with a prior conviction, reckless possession of paraphernalia, maintaining a common nuisance, resisting law enforcement, operating while intoxicated, driving while suspended and leaving the scene of a property damage accident.
