LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- A Louisville woman was arrested Friday night after a traffic stop led to drug charges.
According to a police report, officers initially stopped Ronesha Offut, 25, at the intersection of 24th Street and Broadway after they observed her driving with a small child on her lap. Upon further investigation, according to the report, officers detected a strong odor of marijuana and determined Offut was under the influence of the substance.
Police said they witnessed Offut place the child in the backseat upon being stopped. According to the report, officers searched the vehicle and found a bag of marijuana under one of the three children in the backseat.
According to the report, Offut was charged with possession of marijuana, tampering with evidence and endangering the welfare of a minor. She was lodged in the Jefferson County jail.
