NEW ALBANY, Ind. (WHAS11/NEWS RELEASE) -- New Albany police detectives are seeking assistance from the public to obtain information that may help solve two recent gas station robberies in New Albany.

The Circle K gas station, located at 602 West Main Street in New Albany was robbed by an individual on October 4 and November 17. On both occasions the robber was described wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with an unknown logo on the front of the shirt. The shirt also has a red in color emblem on the left sleeve near the upper forearm.

Based on the clothing worn by the suspect during both robberies, investigators are going on the initial assumption that one man is responsible for both crimes.

The clerk involved in the Nov. 17 robbery says that the robber was a black man, about 5'7" - 5'9" tall, weighing between 155 and 165 pounds. On both occasions the robber was reportedly armed with a handgun.
