Authorities searching for police impersonators after Knox Co. shooting

KNOX COUNTY, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Police are looking for two men who shot and killed a man in Knox County, Kentucky.

The men dressed as cops and forced their way into another man's home early Friday morning.
Witnesses said the fake officers kicked in the door, robbed the home and held the man's wife and two kids hostage.

The homeowner, Donald Mills, was shot twice when he tried to fight back.

Authorities said his sons, who are 11 and seven years old, watched as he was murdered.
Police are still searching for the suspects.

They are focusing on trying to track down a pickup truck seen leaving the area.
