LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- A Louisville man is facing charges after police said they found him sleeping in the lobby of a McDonald's restaurant.
Twenty-four-year-old Austin T. Havey was arrested Thursday after police were called to the McDonald's on E. Market Street.
Police said Havey was sleeping in the lobby when officers arrived. Officers said they asked Havey for permission to search his person and Havey said "no," while trying to conceal physical evidence.
Havey was searched by officers and they said they found a syringe and a spoon. Police also said he admitted he used them to inject heroin and had another syringe inside his coat.
Havey was arrested and charged with tampering with physical evidence and possession of drug paraphernalia.
