Police arrest woman after traffic stop yields paraphernalia, controlled substance

FLOYD CO., Ind. (WHAS11) – Police arrested 33-year-old Jodi c. Schaefer, from New Albany, Ind., after police said they found her in possession of alleged drug paraphernalia and possession of a Schedule Four Controlled Substance during a traffic stop.

According to police Schaefer was the passenger in a 1991 Nissan Frontier when it was pulled over by an Indiana State Police trooper for driving off of the roadway. The trooper stopped the vehicle at Slate Run Road near May Drive in Floyd County.

Schaefer is charged with possession of a Schedule Four Controlled Substance and possession of paraphernalia. She is being held at Floyd County Jail awaiting her first court appearance.
