SOMERSET, KY (WHAS11) -- A southern Kentucky teenager and his friend are facing charges after an alleged plot to kill his parents.
Pulaski County deputies responded to a stabbing Wednesday near Somerset and despite being stabbed, officers say the homeowner overpowered the attacker and held him until police arrived.
Detectives determined that the homeowner's 17-year-old son asked his 18-year-old friend to kill his parents. Police are still looking for a motive.
The son is charged with criminal solicitation to murder and his friend is charged with attempted murder.
