LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Police have arrested a man accused of stealing $50,000 worth of jewelry from his 80-year-old mother to allegedly buy drugs.
According to police, Danny Loy was arrested Tuesday afternoon. Police say he admitted stealing $50,000 worth of jewelry and $5,700 cash that the elderly woman has saved.
Loy, according to police, admitted selling some of the jewelry to buy crack.
Loy is charged with Exploitation and Theft.
