LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- A Louisville man is faces charges after police say he tried to shoplift from a local grocery store by putting frozen fish down his pants.

Jaqua Simmons, 23, was arrested Wednesday afternoon at the Kroger at 27th and Broadway.

A police report states that an officer saw him put a bag of frozen fish down the front of his pants while shopping.

The report says he did buy a can of beer, but walked out of the store without paying for the fish.

According to the police report, he told officers that he stole the fish because he needed to feed his children.

Simmons is charged with shoplifting.
