LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Police arrested a Louisville man for calling the 911 emergency line 13 times for "no legitimate purpose."
According to a police report Randall Mcatee, 44, subjected emergency line operators to abusive profane language and meaningless talk. The report says Mcatee also called 911 to tell them he was "going to sleep."
Mcatee kept calling the emergency line even when he was advised to stop. All calls were recorded.
According to a police report, when officers arrived at Mcatee's home after being called to the residence for the third time, Mcatee walked outside talking in an alarming manner. The report says he was also unsteady on his feet and smelled of alcohol.
Mcatee was charged with alcohol intoxication in a public place, harassing communications and two other violations not stated.
