LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- A Louisville man faces charges Tuesday night after police say he broke into a home where children had been left alone inside.
William Nevitt, 24, was arrested after the children, ages 12 and 4, told police that he tried to get into their house through a window.
He told officers that he was trying to see if someone would hire him to cut their grass.
Police say when he was stopped, Nevitt had a hammer in the waistband of his pants and later admitted that he was trying to break into the home.
