(WHAS11) -- Police arrested a man for allegedly smoking "spice," also known as synthetic marijuana, with their mentally handicapped son in the car.
According to a police report Jeremy Vonmeter, 20, was a passenger in a car being investigated for loitering. The report says the vehicle was emitting the smell of "spice." Officers discovered that Vonmeter and another co-defendant were smoking the drug.
The police report says Vonmeter's six-year-old mentally handicapped son was also in the car. According to the police report it was also cold and the heat was not on in the vehicle.
Vonmeter has been charged possession of "spice" and endangering the welfare of a minor.
