LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – A man and a woman were arrested on Monday, Oct. 28, at about 8:45 p.m. after a LMPD officer allegedly saw a 3-year-old standing alone at a Louisville gas station in the 100 block of West Broadway.
The officer says he saw the 3-year-old standing behind a car at a gas pump when another car pulled up and the child walked into the driving lane at Thorntons. According to the police report, there were no parents to be seen and other adults in the parking lot did not know who the child belonged to.
The officer said he approached the car and found 35-year-old Jason Horsman asleep. The officer found out that the child did belong to Horsman after waking him up with a flashlight. The officer said he saw three pills, which appeared to be narcotics, in the center console. After the officer performed a search, synthetic marijuana was found as well, according to the police report. Lean Deramus, 29, was using the bathroom at Thortons and was also arrested.
Demarus and Horsman are charged with wanton endangerment and possession of synthetic drugs.
