Police: Man accused of selling drugs threatens officer during arrest

Antonio Obannon is charged with alcohol intoxication in a public place, assault in the third degree, trafficking marijuana, terroristic threatening, indecent exposure and resisting arrest.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – Louisville Metro Police arrested 33-year-old Antonio Obannon after he was accused of selling drugs at South 18th Street in Louisville on Jan. 9.

According to police, Obannon was stopped by police and officers could smell alcohol on Obannnon. They say Obannon became belligerent and caused public alarm.

According to the police report, an officer gave Obannon a pat down and found a plastic baggie, which appeared to be contraband, and two other baggies filled with apparent marijuana.

Police say during the confiscation Obannon attempted to kick the officer in the face and while he was being handcuffed he tried to kick an officer again.

According to the report Obannon spit in an officer’s face as he was placed in a vehicle for transport. Police say he threatened an officer’s life as well.

Obannon is charged with alcohol intoxication in a public place, assault in the third degree, trafficking marijuana, terroristic threatening, indecent exposure and resisting arrest.
