Police charge man posing as vet, panhandling near VA Hospital

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- A Louisville man is facing charges Friday night after police said he was posing as a veteran, panhandling near the VA Hospital.

Fifty-three-year-old James Shouse was arrested Thursday afternoon, June 5, near the VA hospital on Zorn Avenue.

Police said he was being aggressive and pretending to be a veteran suffering from PTSD who had been shot in the war.

Shouse is charged with impersonating a public servant and disorderly conduct.
