LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- A Louisville man was arrested after police said he broke into his grandmother's home in an attempt to steal money.

Police were dispatched to a reported burglary in the 1600 block of Grove Avenue after 8:00 Tuesday night.  When police got to the scene, the victim told police that suspect stole $340.00 from her.

While being interviewed at the scene by police, the victim's grandson, Cory Thompson, allegedly admitted to the theft.  Police said he admitted to breaking into the home, which caused an esitmated $200 in damage.

Cory Thompson is charged with burglary and criminal mischief.
