LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- A Louisville couple is in trouble with the law after Walmart loss provention staff said they used their children as a distraction to steal from the discount store.
James Coleman, 33, and Christina Jeffers, 20, both of Louisville, are charged with endangering the welfare of a minor and one count of shoplifting.
According to the police report, Coleman and Jerffers used their children to "run interference" for them while the concealed merchandise at the Walmart on Standiford Plaza Drive.
Loss prevention associates said they witnessed the couple's criminal activity and stopped the pair when they tried to leave the store.
