CAVE CITY, Ky. (AP) -- Police say they believe two deadly shootings in south-central Kentucky are linked.
Police told WBKO (http://bit.ly/Vb0m77) that the call about the first shooting came in just after 6 p.m. on Monday and officers arrived to find 28-year-old Jamie Tapscott of Horse Cave dead at her residence. Less than an hour later, they received another report of a man being shot in nearby Cave City. Officers say they arrived to find 32-year-old Jason Horton dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound behind his home.
Police say they think Horton shot Tapscott, and then killed himself.
The bodies were taken to Louisville for autopsies. Police continue to investigate.
