GREENSBURG, Ky. (AP) — A south-central Kentucky man shot and killed his ex-wife and wounded a neighbor and her granddaughter before taking his own life Friday, Kentucky State Police said.
The man and woman's 11-year-old son was at the home but managed to get away unharmed, Trooper Billy Gregory said.
The divorced couple were still living together, but the shooting occurred at a residence behind their home in the Pierce area of Green County, Gregory said.
Police believe Barry Moore, 40, followed Pamela Moore, 43, to the second residence. Also shot were the owner of that home, Barbara Wright, 66, and her granddaughter, Ashley Wright, 22.
Ashley Wright was in critical condition Friday night, and Barbara Wright was stable, according to the University Hospital in Louisville.
Gregory said Pamela Moore died at the scene, and Barry Moore died at Green County Hospital.
The shooting happened at 10:35 a.m. CDT near the intersections of U.S. 68 and Kentucky 218, police said.
Autopsies were scheduled for Saturday in Louisville. Gregory said the investigation is ongoing.
