Police: 2 Ind. men arrested standing next to meth lab

SELLERSBURG, Ind. (WHAS11)— Police arrested two Indiana men Tuesday afternoon while they were standing in an active meth lab.

Indiana State Police said they went to 3235 Hardy Lake Road in Scott Co. looking for an alleged active meth lab and a wanted person.

When officers approached the residence, police said they noticed two individuals near the rear of the home by an outbuilding.

Christopher Axsom, 31 from Columbus, Ind.,  and Dustin Evans, 23, from North Vernon, Ind., were seen standing by an active meth lab.

Police said the two were immediately taken into custody and the area searched and other items commonly used in meth production were found.

Axsome and Evans are both being held in the Scott Co. Jail on charges on Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Pre-Cursors to Manufacture Methaphetamine.

The Indiana State Police Methamphetamine Lab Team came to the residence to dismantle and clean up the Methamphetamine Lab.
