LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Police arrested a Louisville man on multiple charges of abuse, assault, terroristic threatening and rape of a woman he used to live with.
According to a police report, Nathan Bright, 29, unlawfully came to the victim's residence. Bright was in the driver's seat of a vehicle and rolled the window down to speak with the victim.The report says Bright grabbed the victim and began to drive off while preventing her from getting away.
The report says Bright then let go of the victim, the victim hit the concrete and Bright almost ran over the victim with the vehicle. The victim made her way back to her residence and Bright then returned and convinced her she needed to go to the hospital, according to the report. Bright told the victim he would take her to the hospital.
Bright then drove to his residence instead of the hospital. The police report says Bright then pushed the victim down the stars and drug her by her hair to his room. The report also says he smacked the victim multiple times and proceeded to have intercourse with her without her consent.
The victim managed to eventually get away and call police, according to the report. The victim went to the hospital to receive medical attention. She required three staples to her scalp and sustained various bruises and lacerations including pain and soreness.
According to the report, Bright had an active DVO(domestic violence order). Bright and the victim formerly lived together.
Bright has been charged with violation of a Kentucky EPO/DVO, second degree and fourth degree assault, first degree wanton endangerment, third degree terroristic threatening, first degree rape, and first degree sexual abuse.
