Police: Woman arrested, received more than $11K in false benefits

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Police arrested a woman after they say she received more than $11,000 in false benefits from the state of Kentucky.

According to a police report, Rebecca Rader, 32, received benefits from the Commonwealth of Kentucky that she was not entitled to receive.

The report says Rader failed to report her correct household composition. Rader failed to report that her children did not live with her and were in the custody of their father since November 2008.

Rader received an overpayment in food stamp benefits of $11,530, according to the report.

She has been charged with false statement/misrepresentation to receive benefits. This is a felony charge.
