LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- A Jeffersonville woman and a New Ablany man are facing charges in Louisville after officers responded to a run of a person passed out in a car parked in the lot of a convenience store.
According to a police report, 27-year-old Tiffany Milburn and 29-year-old Eric Pellman are both suspected of being under the influence of heroin when officers approached the vehicle in the lot of a Thornton's on Bardstown Road.
Police said when they approached the vehicle Milburn was passed out with a syringe in her arm and another on her lap, and Pellman was trying to hide a spoon in the side door.
Upon searching the vehicle police said they found two more syringes: One under the driver's seat and another in Milburn's purse along with a spoon and a shoelace "tied like a tourniquet."
Officers at the scene said both Milburn and Pellman "exhibited slow, slurred speech" as well as "slow and staggered movements."
Milburn and Pellman are charged with public intoxication and possession of drug paraphernalia.
