LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- A plea deal is in the works for a woman charged in connection with a fire in New Albany that killed three children.
Prosecutors said a change of plea hearing for Kylie Jenks is scheduled for July 21.
Jenks was set to go on trial next month on charges of conspiracy to commit arson.
Police said Jenks, Shelby Makowsky and a 17-year-old were all in the car with 18-year-old Cody Cashion when he fired a flare in to a house on Ealy Street back in January.
The flare sparked a blaze and 2-year-old Trinity Hughes, 4-year-old Tyrese Hughes and 6-year-old Taz'iah Hughes were killed. Their sibling, Tatyana Hughes, was injured but survived.
