POLICE: Man hits another man’s truck over confrontation

JEFFERSON CO., Ky. (WHAS11) – According to police on Dec. 24, 2013, 30-year-old Eric Collyer struck a man’s truck in Jefferson County twice.

Police said Collyer hit his sister’s boyfriend’s truck with his vehicle.

According to police Collyer hit the man’s truck, for the first time, when the girlfriend and children were being dropped off at their home. Collyer fled the scene after that but drove by again, at a high rate of speed, when the man returned to the truck to bring a package inside, police said.

Police said Collyer then swerved his vehicle toward the man’s truck, hit the door and again fled the scene.

The man then called 911 and was able to identify Collyer as his girlfriend’s brother, according to police.

According to the police report, Collyer is angry because the man confronted him after he took money from the man’s children at their grandmother’s home.

Police say the estimated damage to the truck is $2,266.61

Collyer is charged with criminal mischief and leaving the scene of an accident.
