New York man charged in Ky. after year-long fraud investigation

Mohammad Animashaun is charged with four charges: prhoibit commerce counterfeit goods and services, receive goods, etc. by fraud $10,000 or more, criminal possession of forged instrument 2nd degree and frauduse of credit card $10,000 or more.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- A New York man is facing several charges in Kentucky after nearly a year-long fraud investigation.

According to the police report, Mohammed K Animashaun, 25 of Rosedale, New York, bought Walmart gift cards with fraudulent Visa credit cards.

Police said Animashaun bought numerous gift cards in 42 separate transactions with at least 20 fraudulent credit cards. Animashaun would then sell the loaded gift cards over the internet.

Animashaun is charged with four charges: prohibit commerce counterfeit goods and services, receive goods, etc. by fraud $10,000 or more, criminal possession of forged instrument 2nd degree and frauduse of credit card $10,000 or more.
