Louisville, Ky. (WHAS11) - The murder trial of Jerry Seidl is entering its final stages.
A judge has handed the case over to the jury.
Seidl is charged with killing his wife of 52 years, Dorene Seidl, back in August of 2008.
Closing statements were delivered early Friday.
Seidl's attorney, Bart Adams, told jurors his client was a sick man who couldn't control his actions.
Assistant Commonwealth Attorney Chris Foster said he was a mean man who killed his wife because he lost control of her.
