Children survive house fire, mother could face charges

LOUISVILLE,  Ky. (WHAS11) -- A Louisville mother could be charged with five counts of wanton endangerment.

According to Louisville Metro Police, she left her five children home alone and a fire broke out.

Tamara Genrty was arrested Sunday at her home on Virginia Avenue in the Parkland neighborhood.

The children ranged in age from six to 11.

The oldest child told police Gentry left around 11 o'clock Saturday night and hadn't come back since.

A fire broke out in the home, but luckily no one was injured.
