Carrollton, Ky. (WHAS) – A man sought in Georgia for vehicle hijacking was arrested by Carrolton Police following a short pursuit on KY 227.
Police say they observed Lukas Lambert of McClain, Mississippi traveling at high rates of speed on KY 227 nearly colliding with a another vehicle close to the ramps at I-71.
Officers also smelled alcohol on Lambert and discovered a bag of “Master Kush”, a brand of synthetic marijuana. They also learned Lambert had a warrant from Georgia for vehicle hijacking.
There was also a 16-year-old minor in the vehicle that was not injured.
Lambert was arrested and charged with fleeing or evading police, wanton endangerment, and possession of a synthetic cannabinoid.
He is currently in custody at the Carroll County Detention Center.
