UPTON, Ky. (WHAS11) -- An Amber Alert for 2-year-old Jaylynn Maxey has been canceled after authorities found her and her biological, non-custodial father, Joshua Yeager, on I-65 near Upton, Ky. around 12:15 Wednesday morning.
LMPD public information officer Alicia Smiley said Maxey is safe after Yeager was apprehended.
Police caught up with Yeager after a high-speed chase along I-65. He was arrested and is being housed in the Hardin County Detention Center.
He is charged with two counts of wanton endangerment, endangering the welfare of a minor, fleeing or evading police, criminal mischief, leaving the scene of an accident, operating on a suspended license and violating an EPO. Yeager may be facing additional charges stemming from other warrants, police said.
Yeager is accused of stealing a car two weeks ago and that car was found abandoned at the Circle K on Arthur Street around 9 p.m. Tuesday.
Yeager is also the suspect in the robbery of a bank in Shepherdsville that occurred on Monday.
