Man in stable condition after shot in chest during Shively robbery

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) — Police are investigating a shooting in Shively early Tuesday morning.

The shooting took place in the 3500 block of Park Road Drive near Crums Lane. Police were called by a neighbor and arrived around 2:45 a.m. where they found a man shot in the chest.

Police said the man who was shot did not live at the location and is described as a black male in his early 20s. The victim was alert and was able to give police a suspect description.

The suspect is described as a black male in his 20s, dressed in all black.

The victim was transported to University Hospital and is listed in stable condition. He told police he was robbed and the suspect shot him during the robbery. 

Police have cleared the scene, but gathered evidence and are continuing their investigation.
