LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- A Louisville man on home incarceration is facing an additional charge after police said they could not locate him for nearly eight hours.
According to the police report, 23-year-old Thomas Grismer was being treated at a hospital and was instructed to report to the Home Incarceration Program office when he was released, but officer said he never made it to the office.
Police said officers went to Grismer's home in an attempt to locate him but there was no answer. Police also said they tried to "ping" his home incarceration bracelet but did not get any response. Officers then attempted to call Grismer, but yet again go no answer. Grismer was listed as AWOL.
The report states Grismer finally showed up at the HIP office with his mother more than seven hours after he was released from the hospital.
Grismer is charged with escape.
