LOUISVILLE, Ky -- A Louisville man has been arrested after police said he hit a corrections officer while riding a bike while under the influence of alochol and then resisted arrested.
According to police, Troy Vanlier was riding a bike down Liberty Street in Louisville when he hit a corrections officer. The officer that was hit received several lacerations and had to be taken to the hospital for treatment.
When police arrived on the scene, they said Vanlier was not cooperative and appeared to be under the influence of alcohol.
When police asked him to sit on the sidewalk, they say he would not listen to their orders and eventually resisted arrest when officers tried to place handcuffs on him.
Vanlier is charged with DUI, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and wanton endangerment.
