Louisville, Ky. (WHAS11) - A Louisville man is behind bars after police say he tried to steal two dogs from Metro Animal Services.
Police say David Bedford who was a worker contracted from Dismas House removed two dogs from the quarantine kennel and placed them in the back of a truck.
Bedford is charged with theft.
The city tells WHAS11 they believe Bedford was going to sell the dogs. He no longer works at the shelter.
