LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- A Louisville man has been arrested in connection with a fraudulent check scam, according to police.
Police say Bryan Franklin, 24, was arrested for cashing two stolen checks back in December of 2012.
On December 18, Police say Franklin was in possession of two stolen checks that belonged to the Kingdom of God Tabernacle. Both checks were apparently stolen during a burglary of the church.
Franklin forged his signature on the endorsement line on the front of the check and made them payable to himself, court records indicate. His signature was also located on the back of the checks. Franklin cashed each $400 check at the BB&T Bank at 2501 West Broadway.
Police say Franklin was also positively identified on the bank security camera videos.
