(WHAS11) -- A 9-month-old child has been placed in the care of other family members after police say the child's father left the baby in the car alone.
Police say Ronald Hardesty was arrested in the 8300 block of Preston Highway on New Years Eve after a police officer witnessed the child alone in the car. The child was not harmed, but temperatures outside were in the thirties. The car was not on and the doors were locked.
Hardesty is charged with Endangering the Welfare of a Child and Walton Endangerment.
