LOUISVILLE, Ky -- A 44-year-old Louisville man has been arrested after police said he hit a 14-year-old boy in the head with a hammer.
According to police, Billy Mills was arrested Thursday evening at a home in the 5600 block of Indian Oaks Drive in Louisville.
Police say Mills was visibly intoxicated and had been arguing with the teen victim about money. That's when, according to police, Mills hit the boy in the head with a hammer.
The victim tried to defend himself by using a pair of scissors, which resulted in minor cuts to Mills.
The victim was taken to an area hospital by EMS to get treatment for his injuries.
Mills is charged with 1st degree assault.
