LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Police have arrested a man they said is responsible for robbing two women at knife point.

According to the police report, 32-year-old Michael Wooten jumped into a car with the victim when she was parked in the lot of an Arby's Restaurant on S. 3rd Street.  Wooten is accused of holding a knife to the victim's throat and demanding money.

Wooten is also accused of robbing another woman as she walked from her car to her apartment. Police said Wooten approached the woman from behind and threatened to stab her if she didn't give up her purse.

Police were led to Wooten because the first victim got the license plate number of his vehicle.

Detectives said Wooten matches the physical description of a man suspected in another robbery but have yet to charge him in connection with the third robbery.

Wooten is charged with two counts of robbery.
