LOUISVLLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- A Louisville man faces several felony charges, including sexual abuse, after police say he broke into a stranger's home and assaulted her while she slept.

Police say the suspect entered the home through a window, as several people slept inside.

The victim says it was like a bad dream, when she awoke to find a partially unclothed man she'd never seen before laying on top of her, trying to sexually assault her.

All while her child slept just a few feet away.

“When he was kissing on me, I took my hands and pushed his head up. I seen him and I jumped up and said ‘Who are you?’ I said, and ‘How did you get in here?’” Misty Dunn said.
Dunn said she became a prisoner in her own living room early Sunday morning, when she awoke to find 30-year-old Demontes Munford laying on top of her, fondling her and performing a sex act on himself.

“I felt somebody touching me, kissing all over me,” Dunn said. “My 18-month-old baby was laying right there with me. She was lying right there beside me when he did this."

Dunn says the suspect got in through an outside window.

After seeing Munford, Dunn screamed and woke up seven other people in the home.

She says Munford then began trying to explain why he was there.

“First he told my oldest daughter he was a policeman. Then he told my husband he was a fireman,” Misty’s mother, Theresa Dunn, who was also in the home at the time of the burglary, said.

“He was standing right here at my door when I'm on the phone with police describing this man to them. He's standing right here and then just turns around and takes off, walking down the street as if everything was OK,” Dunn said.

Officers were in the neighborhood within about two minutes of getting the call. Police say they spotted Munford near a vacant house. They say he gave officers a fake name and address.

Munford had been arrested just the day before. The most recent incident was for allegedly trying to get in a car with a woman at a gas station, then sitting, uninvited, on someone else's porch.
