Two Louisville men facing multiple theft-related charges

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Two Louisville men are behind bars, accused of stealing license plates from nearly 30 different cars over the last few months.

Michael Smith and Shueb Khalif were charged with dozens of counts of theft, burglary and credit card fraud.

Police said they stole car license plates from 21 vehicles, stole a firearm, used a stolen credit card and broke into a warehouse as well.

Louisville Metro Police said the alleged crimes happened from November until their arrest.
