LOUISVILLE, Ky (WHAS11) -- A Louisville man was arrested for allegedly attacking police after being loaded into an ambulance.
According to a police report, Metro Police responded to a call of two people passed out in a vehicle at Forman and Bost Lane.
Daniel J. Mullins was unresponsive at first, but when he awoke, he was very hostile. He yelled and cursed at officers and EMTs, but the crew was able to get him on a stretcher, police say.
Mullins admitted to taking several Xanax and was transported to University of Louisville Hospital.
Mullins tried to pull himself out of the back of the ambulance, but when officers and EMS approached him, he began swinging his fists at them. He grabbed an officer's jacket and attempted to hit him, but an EMT was able to restrain him before he made contact.
Mullins stated that he was going to kill all officers and EMTs involved.
Mullins is now facing assault charges.
