LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- A Louisville man is facing charges after police said he admitted involvement in a burglary.

Andrew Iredale, 22, is charged with 2nd degree burglary.

According to the police report, Iredale was a suspect in a burglary and agreed to meet with investigators. Iredale admitted to investigators he received $7,683 for his involvement in the burglary.

Police said he agreed to meet with detectives and return the money. Apparently, Iredale did not return the full amount and detectives asked if they could search his room for additional money.

Upon searching Iredale's room, detectives said they discovered more money - $4,325,000 in Iraqi dinars, or the equivalent of about $3,700 American, hidden underneath a mattress.

Police said Iredale stole the dinars from the mother of a teen he claimed is his girlfriend. According to the police report Iredale met the girl online when she was 13-years-old and had sex with her years later.

The girl gave consent to detectives to search her phone. Detectives said they found pictures of Iredale and the girl "engaged in sexual intercourse and sodomy."

Police did not say if Iredale will face additional charges.
