(WHAS11) - Jeffersontown Police say that just days before a deadly crash near Charlestown, Indiana 40-year-old Troy Anderson, a chiropractor, had been in a confrontation with police at his office on Ruckriegel Parkway.
Police say Anderson was suicidal and trying to harm himself with a metal pole at his office.
The police reports says he then threw the police at an officer who tried to use a taser to subdue him. Anderson continued to resist and was tased a second time before being wrestled to the ground.
According to a police report, Anderson "wanted to kill himself over his ex-girlfriend."
Anderson was taken to University Hospital on a mental inquest. He was charged with resisting arrest, 3rd degree assault for kicking an officer, and disorderly conduct.
Three days later, Anderson was one of two people killed in a head-on crash on Indiana 160. The other, 57-year-old Steven Haworth, was pronounced dead a Friday evening.
Police don't know if Anderson's Camry or Haworth's Ford SUV crossed the center line causing the crash.
