LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- A Bardstown man is facing assault charges Thursday night after Kentucky State Police say he injured a trooper during a traffic stop.
It happened Wednesday night on the Bluegrass Parkway in Nelson County. Police say Trooper Jonathan Downs stopped 26-year-old Jason Aaron for going 106 miles per hour.
When Aaron failed field sobriety tests, downs tried to arrest him. Aaron resisted arrest and during the altercation, the trooper's hand and thumb were injured.
Aaron was tased and then taken into custody.
